Olathe Northwest HS. Choir {Kansas City Photographer}

This was the first time I shot a big group like this. The students were great, which made my job easy. I warned the mom helpers (by the way thank you moms) that it would be a challenge to get the guys to smile for me. I was wrong. They actually challenged each other to take the picture in one shot. They gave each other the knuckle fives when one did. Boys always make every thing a competition. It cracked me up. But I couldn't let them know because then it would not be cool to continue the game.

I was honored to have been part of the Fall Choir Festival. Pam, ONW Choir Director, was chosen to receive an award for "The High School Choir Director Of The Year" by her peers. She is so gifted. One of many things I heard about Pam was that all her students love her. It's a reflection of how much she loves what she does.

Last but not least, I want to thank two people who made this project come together. My mentor Tim Yeaglin, owner and photographer of Yeaglin Portraiture and Imaging. Thank you for your invaluable insight on the steps it took to make this project happen. Thank you for helping me shoot and your technical expertise during the shoot. There is no way I could have done it without you.
The other gentlemen I want to thank is Jim Newell, owner and photographer of
Studio 212 Photography. Thank you for lending me your light and also for giving me advice on how to rock this project out and future projects. You are so awesome.

Nicole { Kansas City Metro Senior Photographer}

I was honored to spend the afternoon with Nicole. After talking to her and her mom during our consultation and during the photo shoot, I found out that Nicole has accomplished so much during her high school years. She is the captain of the drill team, math quiz and respected by her teachers and peers. She is off to collage to get a degree in Business Management. I am so excited to see what she will do next. Good luck Nicole.

Red Roses { Kansas City Metro Area Sports Photographer }

What little darlings these girls are. Our shoot was in early morning which left dew on the ground the night before. We laid down the blanket so they would not have their uniforms wet. It's all about comfort and fashion at this age.

Baby Jack {Kansas City Metro Baby Photographer}

Although most of the images I'm posting of Jack... he is sleeping, he for the most part of the shoot was wide awake. I was amazed at how well his beautiful brown eyes focused, especially on his mommy. Mom said he loves to cuddle so I had to see for myself. Great opportunity to get my baby fix. As I held him in my arms he hung on to my shirt and settled in. Mom was right... I could have held him forever.
First time mom, Brandi is a natural at mothering. Loving and nurturing. I love watching moms and babies interact during the shoots. I get to witness unconditional LOVE.How many times did I mention "love"? Can't get enough love.

Barnstormers { KOKO Photography Kansas City Metro Area Sports Photographer}

With names like Stitches, Flash, Hammer and Hollywood, these boy scare their opponents. They carry a lot of confidence on the field. When one of the players was asked if he was ready for the game, he replied, BRING IT ON!" Don't let their sweet faces fool you, these boys mean business. Some of them talk and sleep baseball 24/7.

The shoot was so much fun! I was challenged with getting 11 9/10 year old boys to smile for me. It worked when I started a sentence with "(blank ) likes being rocked to sleep by his mommy" and asked them to insert their teammate's name. Soon, they were making up their own sentences, like "(Blank) sleeps with a Pillow Pet." The boys got creative and the sentences got sillier. I saw lots of laughing and smiling for the rest of the shoot.
